- Elite Scholars
- Refers to Elite Vision Holdings Proprietary Limited (Registration No: 2025/272981/07) trading as Elite Scholars, the educational services provider.
- Learner / Student
- Any individual registered or enrolled to receive tutoring, academic support, or related educational services from Elite Scholars.
- Tutor
- An individual contracted or engaged by Elite Scholars to provide tutoring, academic support, or educational guidance to learners.
- Parent / Guardian
- The parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult responsible for a learner who is a minor.
- Session
- A scheduled tutoring or educational support appointment between a tutor and a learner, conducted online or in person.
- Platform
- The Elite Scholars digital platform, including any website, application, or online system used to facilitate the booking, delivery, and management of educational services.
- Package
- A bundle of tutoring sessions purchased together, typically offered at a set price for a fixed number of sessions per month.
- CAPS
- Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement - the South African national curriculum framework for schools.
- IEB
- Independent Examinations Board - an independent assessment body in South Africa that offers an alternative matric qualification.
- POPIA
- Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 - South African legislation governing the lawful processing of personal information.
