At Elite Scholars, we strive to provide transparent, fair, and efficient payment and refund processes for our tutoring services. This policy outlines the payment terms, accepted methods, and refund conditions for students, parents, and guardians.
1. Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods for our tutoring services:
Bank Transfer: Details will be provided upon request. Payments should be made in full before the start of each tutoring session or package.
Credit/Debit Card: Payments can be made securely through our online payment processor (e.g., Ozow, Payfast).
Online Payment Systems: We accept various online payment methods such as Instant EFT, or other systems as specified on the payment page.
Session Payments: Payment for each tutoring session is due before or at the time of the session. If a package of sessions is purchased, payment for the entire package is due before the first session.
Package Payments: If you choose to pay for a package of sessions, payment is required in full prior to the first tutoring session. These packages are non-transferable between students or tutors.
Late Payments: Payments not received by the scheduled session date may result in the cancellation of the tutoring session or delayed services.
3. Pricing and Fees
Tutoring Fees: Prices for tutoring sessions are listed on our website or discussed during the consultation process. Fees may vary depending on the subject, session length, or tutor expertise.
Additional Fees: Elite Scholars may apply additional charges for last-minute cancellations, rescheduling, or missed sessions as specified in the Cancellation and Rescheduling section of this policy.
4. Refund Policy
Refunds for Cancelled Sessions: Refunds for cancelled sessions may be issued only if the cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the scheduled session. If the session is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, no refund will be issued.
Refunds for Prepaid Packages: If a student decides not to continue with a prepaid package of tutoring sessions, a refund may be requested for the unused portion of the package. The refund will be calculated based on the number of sessions used versus the total package price.
Refund Requests: All refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment. After this period, no refunds will be issued unless otherwise stated.
Refund Processing Time: Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 14 business days from the approval date.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Student Cancellations: If a student needs to cancel or reschedule a session, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the session being counted as completed, and no refund will be issued.
Tutor Cancellations: In the event that a tutor must cancel or reschedule a session, Elite Scholars will offer to reschedule the session at no extra charge or provide a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.
Refund Requests: All refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment. After this period, no refunds will be issued unless otherwise stated.
Missed Sessions: A session will be considered missed if the student does not attend or is more than 15 minutes late without prior notice. No refund will be issued for missed sessions.
6. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes regarding payments, refunds, or services, students or parents/guardians should contact Elite Scholars directly via info@elitescholars.co.za. We will work to resolve the issue in a timely and satisfactory manner.
